JASMES-CSF Snow Accumulation Data ( From April 16, 2014 to April 30, 2014 )
This is a data set of accumulated snow status in which the grid was derived from Standard Grid Squares (Third Area Partitions with a side of about 1km) by subdividing each square into a 10 × 10 grid with a mesh size of 100 m × 100 m. This data was based on accumulated snow data in JASMES (Satellite Monitoring for Environmental Studies) by JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency). JASMES provides point data with 500 m intervals. The process of data conversion was as follows: (1) Centering on data points, 500 m × 500 m grids were made, (2) accumulated snow data were re-sampled with 100 m × 100 m grids from 500 m × 500 m grids, and (3) If a 100 m × 100 m grid contained a conflicting areas with and without accumulated snow, the larger area was defined as an attribution of the grid.
