TEPCO is conducting seawater monitoring around TEPCO Fukushima Dai-ichi NPP since March 2011. At present, based on "General Monitoring Plan", the following two actions are taking place; (1) Frequent monitoring to watch if a leakage of contaminated substance from TEPCO’s Fukushima Dai-ichi NPP occurred. (2) Monitoring of seawater conducted with lower detection limits to figure out dispersion, deposition and migration of radioactive substances released into the environment. The former is conducted by TEPCO under coordination with Secretariat of the Nuclear Regulation Authority (NRA). Samplings are conducted at the sea area close to TEPCO Fukushima Dai-ichi NPP (sampling points T-1 (north from the outlet for Reactor Units 5 and 6) and T-2-1 (south from the outlet of Reactor Units 1 to 4)). The latter is conducted coastal area of Miyagi Prefecture, Fukushima Prefecture and Ibaraki Prefecture. The data here was created based on the results of measurement.
